The Silo Nightclub (Reading, PA). We would like to thank the 900+ people that came out to see our farewell show. The turnout and the overwhelming response from people all over the country with their attendance, emails, letters and phone calls truly surpassed any of our expectations. We would also like to thank all of the people that made this huge event possible that worked on the stage crew, lighting, sound, merch and promotions. Without any of you, the show would not have been nearly the success it ended up being. We would like to thank our peers that performed with us that special evening and performed awesome cover versions of our songs! The band has retired from the stage however the band is not over. Keep checking back here for updates on two DVD releases coming in 2008. (The Farewell Show DVD + The Twenty-Two Year Phobia History DVD). Frank would like to thank each and every band member that has graced the stage with him under the name Anthrophobia. When Frank presented the idea of a farewell show consisting of songs and band members from each era of the bands existence, many thought he was crazy. He pulled it off and only two band members that were invited to perform were unable to do so. The DVDs will try to do the legacy of this band justice. If YOU have any video footage through the years of the band, please get in touch with Frank.

We are trying to fit some farewell experiences in cities we love before the last show. We have a lot of offers on the table right now and we were trying to figure out how many shows we can realistically perform and prepare for the Farewell Show in the next 2 months", states Phobia. The leader of the Reading, Pa. based band that has melted the walls between Rock, Metal, and Punk for over the last two decades. The recent Farewell shows in Philadelphia and lancaster, Pa. were both smashing successes. 'Phobia got to join their friends LOCAL H for theses to fantastic good bye performances.

Which will feature video montages of the different time periods of the bands long history and then songs will be performed by the members that recorded or toured during that time in the band's timeline. February 15 2006
Here's a quick update. We are BUSY. VERY BUSY. Which is good, of course! We began tracking the NEW CD (currently untitled) at Akdar Studios in scenic Bernville, Pa. with engineer Mike Radka, Frank Phobia producing. The songs are very straight up ROCK with a capital "R" . Joe even broke out the cowbell for 2 songs, watch out. The tour for March/ April with Year Long Disaster is almost completed booked. We are tying up a few loose ends and then we can concentrate on promotions for the shows. If you live in any of the cities we are hitting, we REALLY hope to see you at a show! New group photos soon, we did add some new live shots. We have edited live video footage with Causa from the SoundWaves farewell show from 2 years ago. It will be bonus footage on the drp records DVD...which will finally hit the streets this summer! We are all going to see Motley Crue this Saturday (after a day in the studio), we can't wait! - On sad note we are all upset and disappointed to hear the news of the break up of The Skyline Drive. The band that featured our former guitarists Hans and Dave + our friends Jared and Justin. (check out their swansong video on Havoc TV/ Comcast THIS month.
Hope everyone is doing well ! Stay in touch. - Frank, Brent, Joe, and Eric

December 13th 2005
Hello again. This will probably be the last update for 2005. This past year has been one of the best in the band's history! We just can't believe how well everything is going right now. We just got added to a show at Chameleon Club THIS Thursday, Dec. 15th opening for P.O.D (!), This will be a great show. Some tickets remain. More info: www.chameleonclub.net . This Friday is our last hometown show of the year, at The Silo. We hope everyone can come out and have fun with us + EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE YEAR LONG DISASTER . They are AWESOME. Joe says "Tear Long Disaster are going to save Rock and Roll"...He's serious. All the bands playing this Friday's Bastard On Wheels DVD release show are AMAZING bands! What a show! We just got an endorsement from Sam Ash, we are going to be on Havoc TV again in a month or 2 and we are getting ready to take a little break from playing live to take case of lots of other band things. Like finishing the writing of the NEW CD. Recording. New photos. New website. New Merch. New VIDEO. New CD out in Spring !!!!! So hold on tight, we promise one hell of a ride in 2006. Thanks for the support. Happy Holidays!!! - Frank, Joe, Brent, and Eric.

October 13th 2005
Sorry it's been so long for an update. Long story, but we didn't have access to update this, but now we do! Lots of news: the shows this past summer have been great. The band was playing more frequently than it has in years. Eric has been a great addition to the line-up. We have been visiting some new areas, such as West Virginia (Thanks Stuck in Kaos), Scranton (Thanks Cyphilis) and many others. Eric is still learning some of the back catalog while we write new material to be recorded this winter. CONGRATULATIONS TO ERIC AND JESSICA on the birth of Brody Jett Bess. The healthy baby boy was born just 8 hours after Anthrophobia walked off stage at a show in Harrisburg back in August. Eric's company, Bastard On Wheels, is releasing their first DVD on December 9th with a premier party in Harrisburg, PA at Dragonfly. We will be playing along with 9 other bands that have music featured on the DVD, plus some Suicide Girls thrown in the mix.

The video for "Gutless" will be featured on Havoc TV, Comcast Videos On Demand this month! It'll be nice to watch it on a TV rather than a small compressed computer version. Tell your friends! Anthrophobia was filmed for a scene it an upcoming episode of "Made" on MTV. A girl from our home town was the subject of the episode, her name is Danielle. Frank Phobia also was filmed for additional scenes in the show. 99% of the footage shot will probably end up on the editing floor, but you may as well watch and see for yourself. The episode will air Nov./Dec. 2005. Check MTV for exact date or check banck and we'll tell you right HERE!
The new DVD entitled "The Painted Girls of Ozzbreast" features music by Anthrophobia! Thanks for the hook up Opus and Rock Star AirBrush Video LLC.

Upcoming shows include gigs with Alabama Thunderpussy, Local H, COC, Cyphilis, Spinebelt (our DRP label mates are back to their original line-up). They're sounding great and at many of the shows we will playing together. Butch from Spinebelt will be joining us on stage to perform (Breathing Room). Our old friend Rich Mullins formerly Karma To Burn/ Speedealer has a new band, Year Long Disaster. The are based in Los Angeles, CA. We will be doing 5 or 6 shows with them in December around Pennsylvania and Maryland. Make sure to become our friend on myspace.

ANTHROPHOBIA WELCOMES ERIC BESS as our new bassist !!!!!
Anthrophobia welcome Eric Bess (formerly of Dead 50's) as our new bassist. Eric has been our friend and musical peer for many years. The mutual repect and admiration for each other is making this an exciting combination of great players. Eric's energy, talent, and ideas have already resulted in a new song and musical riffs that will be a part of the future of Anthrophobia. The musical chemistry between the 4 of us is off to a great start. Eric is also a visionary businessman owning the merchandising company BASTARD ON WHEELS. His success and experience with B.O.W and his former band will also be a welcomed addition to the business end of Anthrophobia and Frank Phobia's record label, drp records. Eric's first live show with the band will be July 9th 2005 at The North Star in Philadelphia.
Tony Lightcap resigned as Anthrophobia's bassist just as Dead 50's had called it a day. The merger was seemingly ment to be. The band is very excited to begin the next chapter in the book of Anthrophobia. Come rock with us at a show near you sometime soon. Check back often, many news live dates and events are being planned.

The 'Phobia set was a blast, FMF kicked ass, and so did D50's and BGL. It was a great turnout too. Thanks to everyone that came out. Big thanks to Paula, Blake, and Joel at WZZO for all the support in the last month. The feedback from our WZZO event at Montana West has been great! January, 19th 2005
Our year is off to a GREAT start! The shows have been a lot of fun, plus we've been sharing the stage with awesome bands. BIG thank you goes out to our friend Jared Piccone for filling in on drums last week on short notice. It's great to have amazing talented 'Phobia family members that can and will step in to help us when needed. A live clips video for "Gutless" has just been finished being edited. It will be online in a week or so. We'll let you know (if you are on the email list - sign up now, if you aren't). Bassist Tony brought to our attention some cool info last week. The 'Phobia songs "Gathering Dust" and "Ricci" from the IN THE ZERO TO 3 MOVEMENT CD are used on the new STEVE - O / The Early Years DVD. "Solar Plexus" was recently used on the History Channel during a special on Satan and Hell. Brent's knee is healing well, he is rocking out at shows (maybe a little TOO much for his condition, but, it's all for the kids, right?). Hope to see you all soon. Pick up our new CD "Magnetic" now! Thanks again to Nixon and The X for continuing to spin "Breathing Room" on 105.7 the X on Loud and Under The Radar. Hope to see you all soon. Be safe... Go see GWAR at The Silo, Reading, PA. Thursday Jan. 27th.

December. 23th . 2004
Today guitarist Brent had knee surgery. He called after the operation, all doped up, he's alive. All is good. A big THANK YOU to AMERICAN WASTE (the Philly Super Punk Group)especially the Mainline Hooker Service guys (Rob/Steve/Jay/John). I sang with them this past weekend at the Kyber in Philly. On vocal duties it was Jeff Clayton from Anti-Seen, Neil From YDI, guys from Lime Cell, Fat Howard, and me (Frank Phobia) belting out punk rock classics to a packed house of 30 something punk rock guys beating the hell out of each other just like back in the day. I was GREAT to revisit my punk rock roots. Hopefully, I'll get some photos to post soon.
Happy Holidays from the 4 of us. This past year was awesome for the band. Great shows, finally releasing the new CD and finding Tony to finally fill the void. 2005 will be a new adventure, while we reflect on the past year, we are extremely excited about the future. Lots of shows in Jan. and February coming up. The video for "Adding Insults" will be shot soon, and we have an addition to the family on the way! Joe and Audra (our drummer and his wife) are getting ready to welcome a baby 'Phobia into the world in late March! So, we will be on a break from shows for about 6 weeks to give baby 'Phobia time with his parental units. We also received a Christmas Postcard from Tim Risser (our ex-bassist) and his wife with a cute picture of their baby on his first Christmas card. See you all very soon. Seriously, Thank you for the support this year and your continued interest in our band we all love.... Anthrophobia.

December. 6 . 2004
Holy shit, look at this. A new website. Other stuff is still to come such as new videos and some new MP3's of live shows. Thanks Andy, I'll take the gun away from your skull now. =D New photos from our recent show with the Shocker at the Hardware Bar in Harrisburg are up at Harrisburg Online. The new WWE video game is finally out - the cool thing about it is Frank Phobia was at the sessions for some of the voice overs - pretty pictures here. Today, Joe, our drummer, injured his hand in a hockey game; this is his second injury this season. Don't worry, even if we have to duct tape the sticks to his hands, we will be playing the upcoming shows.

November. 3 . 2004
The shows have been great! The only shitty event was the "paint ball" show that never happened. Oh, well. Our site is totally being redesigned right now by Andy Nissley. In the meantime, go over to www.kadns.com. There you will find a new download of the song "Adding Insults To Injuries (I didn't Even Know I Had)" from the NEW Magnetic CD. Kad'ns currently has all our NEW T-Shirts too. Order one now for a loved one on your Christmas list. This Saturday, Nov. 6th, Frank Phobia will be speaking to college students in the music business departments of various colleges at the MEISA Conference. We'll be shooting a video in the next month. Plus, we have a bunch of shows. MAGNETIC will be at www.towerrecords.com, www.cdbaby.com, and various retailers. iTunes, Napster, etc. will have downloads next month. Early reviews are calling MAGNETIC our best CD. I will agree. Hope to see you at some shows! Thanks for the support,
----- Frank, Brent, Joe, and Tony.

October . 4 . 2004
The shows are going GREAT! A HUGE Thank You to Everyone that took the time to come to see us, sign the email list, bought the new CD or just rocked out in the crowd. Oct. will be the month most of the business for MAGNETIC is finished. New press, NEW WEBSITE, photos, video, distro, etc. So, we will only be playing a few shows. Look for more shows in November. FRANK PHOBIA on the radio! That's right, Troy Hinson from I Want To Kill You and Anthrophobia's loud mouth, Frank Phobia have a college radio show. If you live in the Reading, PA. area tune into WXAC 91.3 FM every TUESDAY from 4 - 6 PM. The guys will be playing lots of great bands coming to Reading, PA. to play at The Silo and a bunch of drp bands too.

Thanks to everyone that showed up at Tony's first show last Thursday. The set went Very Well! This weekends shows are both 21+...sorry about that. Just a reminder, the new CD will arrive in a week. We hope we see all of you at the CD release shows in Reading, Philly, and Lancaster. Check the Tour section for details.

August . 28 . 2004
MAGNETIC is at the pressing plant ! CD release shows in September (check the tour dates). WE HAVE A NEW BASSIST !!!! Yes, after over a year of searching... TONY LIGHTCAP is the new 'Phobia bassist. His first show is THIS Thursday, Sept. 2nd, 21+ show at THE SILO, Reading, PA. with our pals Spinebelt and Dead 50's !

May . 19 . 2004 .
Well, it's been a while. 'Phobia's "Third Degree Burn" is featured on the new Surf DVD "Amplified Take 2". Thanks to Lang Shepperd at Stunt Dog Productions in Hawaii. The new CD artwork is being worked on by Jim Altieri (www.altieriart.com). MAGNETIC, the 5th CD by Anthrophobia since 1996 will finally see the light of day this summer.
In order to fully support the disc we will need a kick ass bassist. Hans kicks ass and has been "filling in" for a year now! But, the truth is, Hans is a great guitarist in his band, The Skyline Drive and so far there has been NO conflicts of schedules between the 2 bands, we expect there will be when our new CD is released. So, if you are better than Hans, give us a ring. If you aren't ...don't bother us.
We love Hans and to be honest the past year's shows would not have been possable without him. Tim Risser (ya know our bassist (before Hans) for over 5 years. Well, Tim just got married and is expecting to be a daddy in the near future. Brent, Joe, Hans, and I all attended the wedding. Congrats Tim and Deanna.
Anthrophobia will be playing more dates this summer and we will post them soon. In the studio (Akdar Studios with Mike Radka) I called upon by brother in arms, Butch from Spinebelt to sing with me on the track "Breathing Room", a new song that we have never played live (yet). The results are awesome! Butch did a great job and our voices blended together great. I can't wait til you hear it. We really just want to finish he CD and get it out, so we are focusing on this for now. Thanks again for your patience and for supporting us. -- Frank Phobia
